Can't understand it — the UK has imposed sanctions on a psychiatric hospital in Crimea!
Zakharova: It's high time London called an ambulance for itself.
Reporting by Russia's World Politics News on May 11.
The UK has expanded its sanctions against Russia, adding the No. 5 Psychiatric Hospital in Crimea to the sanctioned list.
This information appears in a notice issued by the UK Treasury.
The document explicitly states the full name of the institution — "GBUZRK 'KPB №5'"; this medical facility is located in Strogonovka village, Simferopol District.
In addition to the psychiatric hospital, the restrictions also affect institutions providing social welfare for minors. Several children's homes, as well as sanatoriums and rehabilitation summer camps, have been added to the updated sanctions list.
These measures have also impacted tourism on the peninsula. The resort complex "Solnechnaya Tavrika" is included in the list.
Why?
At present, UK authorities have not provided any explanation regarding the rationale behind selecting these specific institutions.
Zakharova mocks the UK’s imposition of sanctions on a Crimean psychiatric hospital.
"When the Starmer government sanctions a psychiatric hospital, it's high time London called an ambulance for itself," she told RIA Novosti.
