Russia Unveils New Variant of "Shahed" Drone — "Geran Seeker"
Sergey Beskrestnov, Advisor to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, stated that this new drone is specifically designed for searching and destroying key targets. According to him, the "Seeker" module can be integrated into various models of the "Geran" drones.
"Recently, the jet-powered version of the 'Geran-4 Seeker' has appeared frequently. This drone is equipped with multiple cameras capable of operating in different modes. The 'Seeker' features a radio MESH network modem, allowing pilots to control it."
The core feature of the 'Seeker' is an automatic identification, target locking, and autonomous navigation system built on Raspberry Pi technology.
Beskrestnov pointed out, "For example, if a 'Seeker' operator locks onto a locomotive from one kilometer away, the locomotive's low-power electronic warfare system will be unable to protect it. Machine vision algorithms will automatically guide the 'Seeker' directly to the target without requiring any operator intervention."
