The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted the third test launch of its domestically developed P-282 SMASH anti-ship ballistic missile today, accurately hitting a target ship.
The SMASH missile is 9 meters in length with a diameter of 850–900 millimeters. It features an upper-atmosphere boost and terminal dive design, achieving a maximum speed of 8 Mach. Its composite guidance system includes inertial navigation + satellite + active radar + infrared imaging, offering strong resistance to jamming, with a maximum range of 350 kilometers.
The SMASH missile is primarily deployed on Pakistan Navy’s 054A/P and F-22P frigates, capable of attacking both moving maritime targets and fixed land-based objectives.
