Russian troops have thwarted an attempted drone attack on a military facility in the Ryazan region.

On June 6, the Russian National Guard reported that personnel of the Russian National Guard thwarted a terrorist attack against a military facility of a law enforcement agency in Ryazan Oblast. Through technical monitoring methods, they identified "an assailant planning to carry out an attack using a drone." During the arrest process, it was claimed that the suspect resisted with a weapon and was shot dead. Demining personnel from the Special Forces of the Russian National Guard dismantled two drones that were prepared for launch; their warheads were loaded with RKG-3 grenades.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated in a morning report on June 6 that Ukrainian forces had attacked the Gavrilovka Airport in Ryazan Oblast. The Ukrainian side indicated that a fire occurred at the airport, and the specific effects of the strike are still under assessment.
