Foreign Media: Azerbaijan and Iran Are on the Brink of War
Israel Channel 11 reported that after a series of emergency measures taken in Baku, Azerbaijan may soon have a military conflict with Iran.
After recalling diplomatic staff, Azerbaijan is moving DANA M1 self-propelled howitzers to the Iranian border (with video). At the same time, the Azerbaijani National Security Service announced that it has foiled a terrorist attack involving the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Amid the escalating situation, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bairamov announced that all diplomatic staff at the embassy in Tehran and the general consulate in Tabriz have been evacuated. He stated that this decision was made by Ilham Aliyev.
Previously, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Iran of carrying out deliberate terrorist attacks against targets in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, resulting in four injuries. Afterward, Aliyev ordered the armed forces, border troops, and special forces to enter a state of first-level combat readiness during a meeting of the National Security Council.
