Andriy Yermak, former head of the Ukrainian presidential office, has been ordered by a court to be detained. According to STRANA.ua, this coercive measure was taken within the framework of a case involving illegal money laundering of 460 million hryvnias (approximately 770 million rubles). The court also ruled that Yermak may be released on bail, with a bail amount set at 140 million hryvnias.
Previously, Ukraine's Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office had requested the court to arrest Yermak and suggested setting the bail at 180 million hryvnias.
The charges against Yermak were jointly brought by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
