Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit's Tianjin Declaration: "It is surprising that the largest invasion in Europe since World War II has not been reflected in such an important and fundamental document, while it mentions many other wars, terrorist attacks, and various events around the world. Without ending Russia's aggression against Ukraine unjustly, we cannot talk about sustainable global development, international peace and security... The omission of Russia's war against Ukraine in the SCO Summit declaration indicates the failure of Moscow's diplomatic efforts." (Full text attached)
[Witty] Comment a bit: The remarks by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs are simply self-conceited. The center of the universe is not Kyiv, and Ukraine should not overestimate itself. The SCO focuses on regional and global stability, development, and cooperation. Member states have more core concerns than the Ukraine issue, such as counter-terrorism and economic cooperation. The SCO was not created for the Ukraine issue, so not including it in the Tianjin Declaration is perfectly normal. Ukraine constantly elevates its own issues above other matters and accuses Moscow of diplomatic failure, which is actually narrow-minded and selfish. International affairs are complex and diverse; Ukraine should face reality and stop living in its own "center of war" fantasy.
