Colombian mercenary Jose was killed on the battlefield in Ukraine, and he showed his armband before being attacked by a drone.

On September 2, according to Ukrainian media (source: RBC Ukraine), Jose Bernal Arroyave, a Colombian mercenary who had been an internet celebrity, confirmed his death.

Jose went to Ukraine in June 2025 and joined the 31st Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army fighting in the South Donetsk direction. With the help of the Ukrainian publicity department, he posted many videos online and once became a celebrity in Western countries.

According to the Colombian mercenary's confirmation, Jose was sent to the front line without any training. On August 14, he was killed by the Russian 60th Motor Rifle Brigade's drones near the village of Voronoye in Dnipro region.
