China has established Ceke County in the southwest of Xinjiang to strengthen governance and security strategies in the western frontier region.

Foreign Media: China has newly established Celei County in the south-western part of Xinjiang, marking the third new county established in Xinjiang following Hewan County and He Kang County.

Celei County is located near the Karakoram Mountains, under the jurisdiction of Kashgar Prefecture, situated along a crucial transportation corridor connecting China with South Asia and Central Asia, adjacent to the borders of Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as the disputed section of the China-India Line of Actual Control.

Analysts believe this move highlights China's strategic intent to strengthen governance and security in its border regions, reinforcing administrative structures to consolidate control over remote western border areas.
