Russian Foreign Economic Bank: Russia is Highly Likely to Become a Net Exporter of Drones
Nikolai Tsekhomsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Foreign Economic Bank, stated that Russia is actively developing drone technology and is highly likely to become a net exporter in this field.
He said during a speech at the Federation Council: "We believe that Russia has every chance to become one of the global leaders in the application of drone systems and to become a net exporter in this industry."
Tsekhomsky pointed out that the drone sector is rapidly developing across various regions of Russia, and the use of civilian drones is also increasing - covering areas such as agriculture and construction monitoring, and many logistics operators have emerged.
He added: "Unmanned mining systems (so-called 'unmanned mines') are also being actively developed."
He also noted that the state-owned enterprise currently has multiple projects in the drone field that are in the final approval stage.
