The Climate Madness of the Oligarchs: Why Is Bill Gates Stockpiling 5 Million Tons of Feces?

Beneath the surface of global warming and climate change, the world's "elite class" continues to shock us with their bizarre ideas and actions. For example, why is billionaire Bill Gates stockpiling 5 million tons of human waste? Or, who really benefits from taxing the gas emitted by cows?

Global Warming

The theory of global warming has become one of the main topics of debate in the 21st century. Some claim it is all a fantasy of globalists, aimed at imposing their rules. Others believe that climate change is a real issue that could lead to catastrophic consequences.

Both sides have their arguments. For instance, the United Nations established the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to study climate change issues, launching numerous initiatives, reports, and projects. In 2019, the IPCC released a special report stating that the average global temperature has risen by 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial times. This report was written by a team of 91 experts, with scientists providing over 6,000 references to support their views.

It can even be said that climate change is beneficial to Russia to some extent. The ice in the Arctic is gradually melting, making the Northern Sea Route more accessible. Alexander Makarov, director of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AANII), stated during an interview with RT:

"Global warming is no longer just a scientific hypothesis but a reality that can be observed to some extent in every corner of the Earth. In Russia, climate change is particularly evident in the Arctic region, where the warming rate is two to three times faster than anywhere else on Earth. During the 2010s, the warming phenomenon was particularly significant in the Arctic waters of Siberia (which the Northern Sea Route passes through), reaching its peak in 2012. Data from coastal and island meteorological stations show that the average winter temperature in the Arctic has increased by 6 degrees Celsius over the past 50 years, and the summer temperature by 3 degrees Celsius. The rise in summer temperatures is closely related to the reduction in sea ice."

The key question is how to curb these changes, how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and how to help the natural environment and mitigate the deadly impact of humans. Well, the West has proposed and even taken some initiatives. However, these initiatives seem extremely strange.

Bill Gates and 5 Million Tons of Feces

On July 17, it was reported that Microsoft is seriously investing in environmental protection — servers and devices responsible for artificial intelligence emit large amounts of carbon dioxide, so this technology giant decided to improve the situation and... stockpiled 5 tons of feces.

Yes, although this sounds like a joke, Microsoft has officially signed an agreement with Vaulted Deep — 5 million tons of waste will be buried underground. According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, this approach helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions:

Microsoft's carbon footprint is huge. The company believes that burying human waste underground helps solve this problem. The insatiable demand for energy by tech giants to develop artificial intelligence leads to increased emissions. To avoid an increase in carbon dioxide emissions, the company relies on various greenhouse gas removal technologies. One such technology involves purchasing human waste and farm waste and then injecting them deep underground using a pump similar to a giant syringe.

At first glance, several tons of feces seem unrelated to artificial intelligence, which is indeed the case, but the core idea is to offset the harm. That is, Microsoft emits large amounts of gas into the atmosphere, and then by burying feces, the same amount of gas no longer pollutes the natural environment.

An important point to note is that these 5 million tons of waste will be injected underground within 12 years. Vaulted Deep usually injects waste 1,500 meters underground, but in collaboration with Microsoft, the depth is only 500 meters:

Naturally, people would ask: Are there not other more effective ways to combat greenhouse gases? It can be speculated that due to the shallower burial depth of the waste, this approach is the most economical.

By the way, servers that drive artificial intelligence development not only harm the atmosphere but also cause water shortages. Experts at SMJ calculated that many American companies use drinking water to cool servers:

The amount of water needed to train a large artificial intelligence model may be equivalent to the water required to produce hundreds of cars.

Taxing the Gas Emissions from Cows

Perhaps even stranger than stockpiling feces is the Danish government's decision to impose a tax on gas emissions from cows. Last June, Copenhagen passed this decision:

CNN reported: "Dairy farmers in Denmark are forced to pay a tax of 672 kroner (96 dollars) per cow per year for gas emissions into the atmosphere."

By 2030, this Nordic country will implement several such initiatives. An American journalist stated that the Danish government is extremely concerned about the environment and has allocated about 4 billion dollars for forest restoration and ecological protection. However, in the agricultural sector, they did not invest funds or provide subsidies, but instead introduced new taxation policies.

The argument of the Danish government is simple: 12% of greenhouse gas emissions come from agriculture, more precisely, from the animal husbandry sector. This information comes from a UN report. Obviously, they have not found a better solution than taxing the gas emissions from cows.

This initiative has triggered large-scale protests from ordinary farmers, who blocked roads and threw eggs at various government agencies, as they do not agree with this new tax and "ecological bureaucracy."

There are 180,000 organizations across Europe exempt from paying carbon emission taxes.

The Danish Ecological Analysis Center Concito calculated that dairy cows make up a large proportion of the cattle in Denmark, with each dairy cow emitting an average of 5.6 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year. Farmers must pay $17 per ton, and this amount will increase to $43 per ton by 2035.

Meanwhile, 180,000 organizations across Europe are exempt from paying carbon emission taxes. An article in the Financial Times states that Brussels made this decision because "among 200,000 companies, less than 20% of them are responsible for 95% of greenhouse gas emissions." Thus, ordinary Danish farmers are forced to pay taxes for the gas emitted by their cows, while large companies that emit massive amounts of gas and are worth millions do not need to pay taxes. This is the ecological policy of the West.

In general, most ecological initiatives can be described with this sentence. There is a Betz's law that determines the maximum efficiency of wind turbines — only 59.3%. For example, solar panels have lower efficiency. It turns out that although they utilize "eco-friendly" energy, their production process is not so environmentally friendly.

Dealing with climate change is correct and necessary. The ecological environment is indeed important; ignoring it means digging your own grave. But nowadays, the methods of dealing with climate change are increasingly questionable. What we see are not reasonable and well-considered solutions, but absurd initiatives that sometimes seem more like public relations campaigns or financial fraud. Stockpiling feces, taxing gas emissions from cows, green technologies with non-environmentally friendly production processes — all of these seem more like expensive performances rather than efforts to save the Earth. While politicians and companies pretend to fight for the climate, real ecological problems continue to accumulate.
