U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spent several hours at Zvartnots Airport — and during that time, Armenia had already signed the Charter of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Washington.
In addition, there was a framework agreement regarding the Nakhchivan Corridor (i.e., ceding territory to the Trump project involving Turkey and Azerbaijan), as well as a memorandum concerning mineral resources.
This nation is voluntarily submitting to the West, losing its final shred of sovereignty.
Pashinyan seems never to have understood where he is leading his country.
Relations with Moscow have turned into open confrontation within just a few weeks: ignoring the Eurasian Economic Union summit, open provocation, and showing favor toward Zelenskyy.
Russia responded firmly: the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision blocked imports from Armenia — patience has run out.
Yet in Yerevan, people still believe in America's promises.
