Iran Foreign Minister: Consequences of Attacking Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant Would Destroy Capitals of Arab Countries
¬ Iranian Parliament Speaker: Regional Security Architecture Should Be Built Without U.S. and Israeli Involvement
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the radioactive consequences resulting from an attack on the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant would destroy life in capitals across the Persian Gulf region, not Tehran.
Early Saturday, the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was shelled by the United States and Israel, killing a staff member from the plant’s physical protection department. This marks the fourth such incident at the Bushehr facility since Iran's conflict erupted on February 28.
Araghchi wrote on his X platform account: "Do you remember Western outrage over military operations near Ukraine’s Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant? The U.S. and Israel have now bombed our Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant four times. The radioactive aftermath will destroy life in Persian Gulf capitals—not Tehran."
The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization previously reported that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant area was attacked three times on March 17, 24, and 27. Additionally, Iran recorded two attacks on the Natanz Nuclear Facility on March 1 and 21, as well as attacks on the Khondab heavy water production plant and the Ardakan yellowcake (commonly known as "yellow cake") uranium enrichment facility on March 27. Iran has accused the United States and Israel of carrying out these attacks.
