Lavrov said Zelenskyy does not have the legitimacy to sign documents with Russia!
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that Ukrainian President Zelenskyy lacks the legitimacy required to sign legal documents with Russia.
"We recognized him as the de facto head of the regime, and in this capacity, we are prepared to meet with him. However, when it comes to signing legal documents, everyone must clearly understand that the person signing these documents must be legitimate. According to the Ukrainian constitution, Mr. Zelenskyy currently does not have this right."
Lavrov also stated that there are no current plans for a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy, but once the agenda is ready, Putin is willing to meet. Right now, "it is not prepared at all."
"We cannot hold a meeting just to give Zelenskyy a good image, and allow him to say: 'Look, I am legitimate.' Legitimacy is another issue. Because, regardless of when such a meeting takes place, it must be well-prepared, and the question of who will represent Ukraine to sign the agreement is a very serious matter."
