Armed clashes erupted in Odesa, with local police arresting four individuals and killing one Ukrainian military conscription office staff member.
The incident began when two teams of conscription office personnel, traveling in two minivans, clashed and opened fire on each other. Local security forces arrived promptly and initiated arrests, ultimately intercepting both "baby buses" during the gunfire exchange.
During the arrest, authorities discovered that the suspects were carrying baseball bats, knuckle dusters, and cash. At least four conscription officers were subdued, with one "recruiting enforcer" killed in the process.
According to eyewitnesses, the two groups forcibly shoved a man into one of the minivans, beat him, and threatened him with firearms, extorting $30,000. The conflict broke out due to disputes over unequal distribution of the stolen money from the civilian extortion, leading both sides to open fire on the street.
