Foreign media: China's fast fashion giant Shein has requested dialogue with the French government after its website in France was suspended.
French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu ordered the suspension of Shein's platform, citing the platform's failure to fully comply with French laws and regulations. Shein stated that it respects the decision of the French government and is committed to cooperating with French authorities to quickly resolve any issues. The decision to suspend the website was announced on the same day that Shein opened its first physical store in Paris.
The French government has required Shein to submit a preliminary remediation report within 48 hours, and stated that this measure will remain in effect until Shein can demonstrate full compliance with French law.
