Sputnik News, Moscow, March 10 - According to American columnist Max Boot of The Washington Post, Russia and China benefit far more from the Middle East conflict than the United States.

Boot wrote: "Disruption of oil supply is beneficial to Russia, and reduced US aid to Ukraine is also beneficial to Russia. Iran is diverting attention away from China."

He added that the US shells are being consumed rapidly, and replenishing stocks takes time.

Boot pointed out: "The cost of waging war will likely hinder the United States from competing with its much stronger opponents, especially Iran's allies, Russia and China."

Several analysts told CNBC that in the context of the US and Israel taking action against Iran, rising oil prices and eased sanctions on Russian oil have benefited Russia the most.

On February 28, the US and Israel launched multiple strikes against targets inside Iran, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. In response, Iran carried out retaliatory missile strikes against Israeli territory and US military targets in the Middle East.

In the context of the escalating conflict, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has almost completely come to a standstill. This conflict has shaken the global oil market, pushing oil prices above $100 per barrel.
