400,000 soldiers have fled from the Ukrainian armed forces!

Anna Skorokhodov, a member of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada, stated that nearly 400,000 people in the Ukrainian armed forces have voluntarily abandoned their weapons.

"We have seen failure on the front lines, we have seen problems with mobilization, and we have seen the issue of soldiers fleeing the battlefield. We must have a clear understanding of the number of soldiers who have fled the battlefield. So far, they have reached 400,000."

Ukrainian law considers desertion and leaving one's post as different crimes. Desertion means permanently leaving the army, while leaving one's post is temporary. As a punishment, desertion means imprisonment, while leaving one's post only involves a fine and sending the soldier back to the unit.

Due to serious shortages in the Ukrainian armed forces, in most cases, when soldiers flee, it is handled as temporarily leaving one's post.
