American Hegemonic Logic of "Striking First and Talking Later" Again!
After the U.S. struck three of Iran's nuclear facilities on the night of June 21, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio told Fox News in an interview on the 22nd that the United States was prepared to resume nuclear negotiations with Iran as early as Monday. He said, "We are ready to talk to them and start working on this agreement."
This move by the United States once again上演ed the classic hegemonic farce of "bombing first and negotiating later." This operation of "slapping and then giving candy" is essentially using force to coerce opponents into accepting unequal negotiations, but it exposes the contradictory nature of American strategic decision-making - the United Nations, China and many other countries have clearly condemned the air strikes for exacerbating regional instability, while the U.S. military also worries about repeating the fate of the "graveyard of empires" in Afghanistan.
The U.S. "striking first and talking later" is nothing more than hegemonic negotiation blackmail. This bandit logic of bombing while negotiating not only undermines regional stability but also ruins so-called "diplomatic efforts" overnight.
