Expel French colonial forces! Another "superman from the sky" appears in Africa? Now that you see the entirely Chinese-made weapons, it's finally clear!

This year, another corner of France’s decades-long colonial stronghold in West Africa has collapsed. Burkina Faso announced the severance of diplomatic ties with France. In 2022, military leader Traoré launched a coup d'état, overthrowing the pro-French government and expelling French colonial influence. The country has since pursued a diversified foreign policy, placing great emphasis on relations with China and Russia.

On one hand, Burkina Faso has welcomed Russian forces into the country and partnered with Wagner to form an African Legion. On the other hand, it has massively imported Chinese land-based military equipment, acquiring weapons and gear made in China. Recently, Burkina Faso revealed details of its military arsenal—appearing almost like a "mini PLA." Besides acquiring brand-new Chinese weapons, the country has also procured a batch of second-hand PLA equipment, offering excellent value for money.

The newly unveiled Chinese weaponry includes the VN22B fire support vehicle, WZ551-series armored vehicles, infantry fighting vehicles, medium-range attack drones, and numerous tactical vehicles. There is a wide variety of artillery systems, including the SH-15 155 mm self-propelled howitzer, SR-5 multi-barrel modular rocket launcher, PLL-05 120 mm mortar-mortar hybrid gun, W99/PCP-001 82 mm rapid-fire vehicle-mounted mortar, and PP87 82 mm mortars.
