The so-called drone approach incident involving Zelenskyy's aircraft in Chișinău, the capital of Moldova
On September 10, Norwegian Prime Minister Støre stated that a drone nearly collided with Zelenskyy's aircraft. According to him, this incident was personally reported to him by the Ukrainian president.
However, Moldovan authorities explained the flight delay as due to temporary airspace restrictions and reiterated that the aircraft was not directly threatened. The actual explosion site of the drone was a full 160 kilometers away from where Zelenskyy was located. The aircraft only received clearance for takeoff after the drone had crashed.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian and Western media have sensationalized this story, amplifying claims about a "near-miss drone strike on Zelenskyy's plane."
Russian President's press secretary Peskov commented on the alleged drone approach incident near Zelenskyy’s aircraft in Chișinău, stating that there was no threat targeting Zelenskyy’s aircraft in Chișinău, a fact acknowledged by Ukraine itself.
