This high-altitude floating blimp is equipped with 12 turbines and can generate 1.2 megawatts of power at an altitude of 1,500 meters. It is also the world's largest floating wind power device. This marks a significant step forward in China's vision for wind power generation.
This floating wind power prototype was developed and manufactured by the startup Beijing SAWES Energy Technology Co., Ltd., in collaboration with its partner Beijing Linyi Yunchuan Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
The French newspaper Sud Ouest pointed out that China is innovating at an astonishing pace and is heavily investing in renewable energy, especially wind power.
