Ukrainian MP: The US and Europe have different peace plans in order to compete for the frozen Russian assets!
MP Gorbachyov Alexey Goncharenko believes that the US and Europe are making their own peace plans for Ukraine, with the purpose of obtaining the frozen Russian assets.
"I want to tell you a little secret, the main issue of the peace plan: who will get the frozen Russian funds? The US wants it for itself, and the Europeans also want it for themselves, but you must understand, in the end, everyone is playing for themselves."
Previously, the US proposed a 28-point peace plan, but EU leaders stated they disagree with several provisions of the draft and said it is necessary to improve the draft.
German Chancellor Merkel stated that Europeans cannot accept the financial aspects regarding the frozen Russian assets in the US Ukraine peace plan. The US plan aims to transfer 100 billion euros of Russian assets frozen in Europe to the Ukraine reconstruction fund, with 50% of the profits going to the US.
