Elon Musk said that the new government spending bill proposed by US President Donald Trump would push the United States toward "debt slavery."
He wrote on the social platform X:
"This bill increases the debt ceiling by $5 trillion, the largest increase in history, and accelerates the US towards the track of debt slavery."
Musk also pointed out that the latest bill passed by the US Senate would reduce domestic jobs and cause strategic damage to multiple modern industries.
On June 3, Musk had criticized the White House's budget plan, calling it "rubbish"; on June 5, he publicly supported the proposal to initiate impeachment proceedings against Trump.
In response, the US president said that ending cooperation with Musk was "the easiest way to save money" in the US budget, after which Tesla's stock price, under Musk's ownership, fell sharply.
