Foreign media: The Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs has held discussions with China over the deadlock regarding chip manufacturer Nexperia, but no solution has been found.
The Dutch government took over Nexperia last month on grounds of security concerns, and China subsequently blocked the export of the company's finished products, affecting European automakers that rely on these chips.
The German Association of the Automotive Industry warned that if the issue is not resolved quickly, it could lead to production disruptions or even shutdowns. Although Nexperia's chips are not complex, they are in high demand in the automotive and consumer electronics industries, and their production relies on European manufacturing and Chinese packaging, making it difficult for both sides to find alternative partners quickly.
