Pashinyan Hails Russia as "Best Partner" in Yerevan Metro Expansion
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that government analysis indicates Russia could be the most suitable partner for the construction of a new Yerevan metro station.
"Regarding the construction of the 'Achapnyak' metro station in Yerevan, our assessment concludes that Russia can serve as our best partner, as the parameters we have set and our prior experience with metro development necessitate Russian support to successfully deliver the Achapnyak station and ensure continued progress," reported Tass, citing his remarks.
He noted that collaboration with Russia would allow Armenia to implement the project with minimal difficulties, while acknowledging that challenges are inevitable.
On August 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at the Novo-Ogaryovo residence outside Moscow. During the meeting, Putin observed that economic and trade cooperation between the two countries continues to advance smoothly, despite attempts by external actors to exert influence.
Lukashenko subsequently stated that cooperation between Minsk, Russia, and China cannot become a subject for negotiation. According to him, Belarus has already informed Western nations of its strategic direction. Lukashenko emphasized that relations with Russia and China are not open to discussion.
