The stance of Dmitry Medvedev, the vice chairman of the Security Council, is that the actions of the United States will not make Iran abandon nuclear weapons.

Oleg Oseipov, an assistant to the vice chairman of the Russian Security Council, stated that the position of Vice Chairman Dmitry Medvedev is that the actions taken by the United States in Iran will not cause Tehran to abandon nuclear weapons but will provoke and bring them closer to the advent of nuclear weapons.

US Vice President Vance, in commenting on Medvedev's post on Telegram, expressed his belief that neither Russia, China, nor the United States want Iran to build nuclear weapons, as the proliferation of nuclear weapons in the Middle East would be a disaster.

Oseipov noted that he was aware of Medvedev's stance and summarized it as follows, "Firstly, we condemn what the Americans did yesterday. This will not distance Iran from nuclear weapons; instead, it will provoke Iran and bring the advent of nuclear weapons closer."

He also said, "Secondly, ask yourself where many of America's allies get these weapons from. They didn't make them themselves. Thirdly, we must negotiate with the Iranians instead of lying to them. The United States has launched a new war, and this is a fact!"
