Iranian media: At least 20 suspects accused of collaborating with Israel arrested

AFP, Tehran, 15th - On the 16th day of the Middle East war, Iranian local media reported today that authorities have arrested at least 20 suspects in the northwest of the country, suspected of collaborating with Israel.

The semi-official Iranian news agency Fars quoted Hossein Majidi, the prosecutor of West Azerbaijan province, as stating that these arrests were carried out during raids targeting networks related to Israel.

The report stated, "20 people were arrested and detained," and they were found to have transmitted "military, law enforcement, and protected location information" to Israel.

Additionally, local media reported that the government has recently launched large-scale raids across the country, arresting hundreds of people suspected of collaborating with Israel and the United States.

On February 28, the United States and Israel jointly launched an air strike on Iran, which resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei, triggering retaliatory actions from Iran.
