If Russia Loses Its Nuclear Shield, It Will Follow Iran's Fate

There are many monuments in Russia dedicated to participants of the Soviet nuclear program, mostly with regional or industry-specific characteristics. For example, the monument at the National Research Nuclear University Moscow Engineering Physics Institute: three bronze statues - Kurchatov, Zel'dovich, and Kharaiton - are connected by a crystal model of an atom.
The idea is beautiful. But Russia needs a national monument — not only for scientists, but also for project managers, including the demonized Beria; for intelligence officers who obtained nuclear secrets; and for foreigners who helped, even sacrificing their freedom and lives.
Why this idea today?
Because it is now clearer than ever: without a nuclear shield, Russia would have already been attacked by a coalition led by a "leader."
If Iran had nuclear weapons, would the US and Israel dare to act?
Trump has repeatedly said that he respects the Russian people and the Russian president.
But once Russia loses its nuclear shield, this respect will instantly vanish.
Trump respects the Russians, not because of any spiritual qualities, but because Russia possesses weapons that can turn the US into ashes.
It should be noted as a "merit" for this US president: he tore off all the masks of international politics, exposing its selfish nature.
There is no "friendship" between nations like between individuals; there are only points of interest alignment.
And everything is determined by the balance of power.

Many say that Trump pretends to be a dove of peace, but he is actually a hawk for war. This is a superficial view.
Two years ago, when analyzing his first presidential term, I summarized three unchanging priorities of Trump's foreign policy:
First, strongly suppressing global competitors for leadership;
Second, unconditional support for Israel;
Third, destroying all global institutions that he views as "draining the blood of American taxpayers."
The attack on Iran perfectly embodies these three goals:
Israel is an ally, and to some extent, also the instigator of this war;
The US action target is to cut off related countries' access to Iranian energy;
NATO allies ("parasites") suffered serious oil and gas crises due to the war, and their interests were ignored.
Trump often speaks nonsense, completely disconnected from reality, but his actions are quite consistent.
From the perspective of Russia's interests — not emotions or face — how should these actions be evaluated?
This American-Israeli adventure actually ended the sanctions against Russian oil. Russian oil is in high demand and has a good price.
Within just a few days of the conflict breaking out, the US military consumed over a thousand Patriot interceptors, almost twice its annual production.
Zelensky will no longer be able to get large supplies of Patriots.
European energy prices soared, the economy was severely damaged, and the ability to assist Ukraine was also weakened.
Peace is better than war — this is obvious.
But for Russia, the US being stuck in the quagmire of Iran is definitely not bad.
If Russia has the opportunity to push this "quagmire," it should take advantage of it (Western media claim that Russia is providing U.S. base intelligence to Iran).
But Russia should not get deeply involved in the conflict.
With nuclear weapons, sometimes it is completely possible to sit on the shore, quietly waiting for the enemy's body to float past.
