Several German companies will reduce working days due to chip delays provided by NXP!

German automotive parts supplier Bosch and ZF will cut working hours in some of their factories in Germany, as chip imports are delayed due to uncertainties from the Dutch company NXP.

Bosch has asked its factory in Salzgitter, Lower Saxony, which produces engine control systems, to shorten working hours. The company has about 1,400 employees there.

ZF announced plans to reduce working hours at individual factories. The company is negotiating with production committees to implement this measure at one of its largest factories in Schweinfurt.

On October 12, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs announced that it had initiated the "Goods Accessibility Act" against NXP, which is controlled by Chinese company WenTai Technology, leading to Chinese export restrictions on NXP, prohibiting its Chinese subsidiaries and subcontractors from exporting certain components abroad.
