Trump: "We will not allow NVIDIA's advanced chips to be sold to China!"

On November 3, South Korean media Newsis published an article stating that US President Donald Trump said he would not allow US company NVIDIA to sell advanced chips to China.

Recently, during an interview on the CBS program "60 Minutes," when asked, "Will you allow NVIDIA to sell advanced chips to China?" President Trump replied, "No, I won't."

He said, "We will let China do business with NVIDIA," but "we won't let them get involved in the issue of advanced chips." He continued, "We will not allow any country outside the US to obtain advanced chips."

President Trump also stated on a flight briefing aboard Air Force One as he returned to the White House from Florida that he would not hand over NVIDIA's Blackwell chips to any other country.

Blackwell is NVIDIA's next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) chip, used for the learning and execution of generative AI, such as large-scale language models (LLM). The field of AI chips is considered the forefront of the competition for advanced technology between the United States and China.
