Axios reporter Barak Ravid cited sources on the social media platform X, stating that Israel's attack on Iran's South Pars gas field had been coordinated with the United States.

"A U.S. military official confirmed that Israel's attack on Iran's gas facilities was carried out under coordination by the Trump administration,"

Ravid wrote, citing the Russian channel ParsToday of Iran.

According to Eurasia Daily, Iran reported that the U.S. and Israel attacked a land-based facility in the South Pars offshore oil and gas field. This gas field is jointly owned by Iran and Qatar in the Persian Gulf.

Previously, after Iranian land-based oil and gas facilities were attacked (affecting the natural gas extraction from the South Pars gas field), Tehran had vowed to retaliate and issued warnings to the public in the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The market responded accordingly, with oil and natural gas prices continuing to rise.
