Ukraine uses Chinese parts, and also helps the Philippines to build drones to counter China?
This is not a joke, but a real thing that has actually happened.
According to "Manila Bulletin", in late August, Ukraine's Ambassador to the Philippines, Yulia Fediv, revealed at a forum activity that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had drafted a memorandum of understanding for joint production of drones. The Philippine side also hopes to sign the agreement in October this year to start the drone production work.
Fediv also said that the Philippines is a "trustworthy partner" of Ukraine in the region, and Ukraine is willing to share all the experience and lessons it has gained from its own situation with the Philippines, and is interested in conducting cybersecurity cooperation with the Philippines.
Philippine media report
There is no doubt that the cooperation between Ukraine and the Philippines in the joint production of drones is obviously intended to support the Philippines' efforts to counter China in the South China Sea.
Since President Marcos took office, the Philippines has frequently provoked conflicts in the South China Sea, especially near the Scarborough Shoal and the Huangyan Island, but each time ended in failure.
However, the Marcos government has not reflected on its own mistakes, but instead attributed the failure of the Philippines' provocations to the lack of military technology. Therefore, in recent years, the Philippines has frequently introduced external technologies to enhance its military capabilities, signing defense cooperation agreements with external countries such as the United States, Japan, and Australia, to strengthen its perception and patrol capabilities in the South China Sea.
And Ukraine is just one of the new external supporters found by the Philippines. After the release of this report by the Philippine media, some Philippine netizens have already started imagining using Ukraine's "field-tested" drones to intimidate China in the South China Sea.

Certainly, some more rational foreign netizens have expressed their curiosity, asking where the flight control mainboards and motors used in the drones manufactured by Ukraine come from, because all drone parts on the market can ultimately be traced back to Shenzhen, China.
In fact, although Ukraine has developed asymmetric tactics of unmanned combat systems, the drones and unmanned boats used by Ukraine to attack Russian targets are all made with Chinese parts. Even though we have implemented strict export control measures, Ukraine still finds ways to obtain parts from third countries, as well as equipment needed to manufacture drones.
In August this year, the Ukrainian Defense Industry Council admitted that only 5% of the defense enterprises in Ukraine do not use Chinese parts - which means that 95% of Ukraine's defense enterprises need to rely on Chinese parts to produce weapons.
But it is very absurd that Ukraine uses Chinese parts and equipment to make drones, while at the same time repeatedly making hostile remarks against China.
A Ukrainian big V went crazy, advocating to bomb Guangzhou factories
On August 31, the well-known pro-Ukrainian account "Ukraine War Map" called on social media, claiming that due to providing so-called "military aid" to Russia, a factory in Guangzhou, China, would become a "legitimate target" for Ukraine. "If this Chinese factory explodes or catches fire, that will be a very regrettable thing."
If it's just Ukrainian netizens ranting, it's understandable, but now the Kyiv government is actually fantasizing about using Chinese parts to help the Philippines against China. This scene is truly absurd.
We have previously commented that the current Ukrainian decision-making circle is filled with a very obvious binary thinking, not allowing any country to refuse to take a side between Ukraine and Russia. In the view of the Kyiv regime, anyone who does not cut off relations with Russia is considered not supporting Ukraine.
The Philippine drone forces mainly aim for the effect of "if the US has it, I have it"
Therefore, based on this binary thinking, it is not surprising that the Ukrainian government would impulsively seek cooperation with the Philippines to produce drones, since China has been labeled as "pro-Russia" by Zelensky, so Ukraine naturally turns to the Philippines, which is not on good terms with China, to create trouble for China.
As for the Philippines, seeing Ukraine proactively seeking cooperation, they naturally welcome this opportunity, as the current Philippine government is also known for short-sightedness and being eager to act as an agent for the United States.
