Bloomberg and Reuters reported on the 25th that according to relevant enterprises, China is considering exempting some American products' 125% tariff and is seeking opinions from related enterprises, asking them to submit a list of goods that may meet the exemption criteria.

China's "Caixin" magazine also cited sources as saying that China plans to include eight types of semiconductor-related products in the tax-free range, but storage chips are not included.

Bloomberg reported that the proposed tariff exemptions under consideration by China include medical equipment, industrial chemicals such as ethane, and leased aircraft.

Reuters reported that Michael Hart, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, said that Chinese authorities have asked American companies which export goods to China cannot be replaced, and what impact would occur if supply chains were interrupted due to restrictions.

Safran, a French aerospace engine manufacturer, said that some of its aviation parts such as engines and landing gears have already received tariff exemptions from China. The EU Chamber of Commerce has also communicated with China regarding the exemption matter and is awaiting a response.
