Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman: Pentagon Report Clearly States Iran Poses No Threat to the United States
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Baghaei accused the United States of intentionally sabotaging negotiations and claimed that the other side presented an unfulfillable ultimatum.
Baghaei made the above statement in a surviving classroom at a school, following an attack by the United States and Israel that killed 171 people in the area where the classroom was located.
"Now, I am speaking to you, and I am speaking to the Iranian people. The claims about the progress of the negotiations are nothing but lies. In the final stage, they presented us with conditions that were contrary to reality, which we did not accept."
Meanwhile, while they were waging a bloody and unjust war against us, they began trying to distort history. Our responsibility is to prevent the false version from taking over.
Look at the contradictions in their words. What did Marco Rubio say? He claimed that the relevant decision was made at Israel's request. While the President of the United States claimed that Iran posed a direct threat. What kind of threat is that? The Pentagon report clearly states that Iran poses no threat to the United States. Is Iran planning to attack the U.S. coast?
Is the problem Iran? Have we launched missiles toward the U.S. military bases in the region? Have we directed missiles toward your territory?"
