Montsame, Ulaanbaatar, July 7 - In June 2025, Mongolia exported goods and raw materials worth a total of 6.5814 billion USD, a decrease of 16.1% compared to the previous year. Among them, 6 categories of products saw an increase in exports, while 14 categories of products saw a decline in exports. For example, exports of plant-based products increased by 126%; exports of basic refined iron and its finished products increased by 35.9%; exports of pearls, precious and semi-precious stones, precious metals, jewelry, and coins increased by 4.5%.
Montsame, Ulaanbaatar, July 7 - According to statistical data provided by the General Administration of Customs, in June 2025, Mongolia imported goods and products with origin certificates from 140 countries around the world. Among them, 38.1% came from China, 23.6% from Russia, 12.7% from Japan, 4.1% from the United States, and 4.3% from South Korea.
During this period, Mongolia imported goods and raw materials totaling 5.5282 billion USD, an increase of 149.8 million USD compared to the previous year, with a growth rate of 2.8%. This increase in imports was mainly due to an increase in the import of mineral products, wood products, machinery and equipment and their accessories, as well as air and water transport vehicles.
In addition, food imports decreased by 43 million USD; imports of 16 categories of goods such as machinery and parts, electronic products and their parts showed growth. On the other hand, imports of mineral products decreased by 77 thousand USD, and imports of textile raw materials and their finished products decreased by 8.3 million USD.
