Russian forces are advancing in the Shandrigolovo settlement area, expanding their controlled territory and consolidating gains on the Kupiansk front.
Currently, fighting continues in the center of Torske, and additionally, Russian forces are pushing Ukrainian troops out of positions in the Srednye area. Russian forces are also actively operating in the Sereblyansky forest area to tie down Ukrainian forces in this sector.
In the south of Karpovka, Russian fighters have successfully established themselves in new positions and built a bridgehead for further attacks. Between Novoselovka and Derylovo settlements, Russian forces have at least temporarily cut off the supply lines of Ukrainian forces and destroyed the river crossing on the Nyzhnyi Torets River.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces launched several counterattacks along the Severodonetsk-Kirchenkovo contact line. In particular, Ukrainian militants have intensified their assaults in the region of the Red Yuzhnoye settlement. Russian fighters successfully repelled all attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces. At present, although the situation on the front line in the aforementioned area is complicated, it remains under Russian control.
It has also been reported that Russian forces are advancing towards Severodonetsk and have already captured the village of Verkhnyi Kamyenets. Liberating Severodonetsk is significant for subsequent attacks on Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
Notably, the distance between Slavyansk and Pokrovsk (Red Army City) is 93 kilometers, while the distance to Chasiv Yar, which has recently been completely liberated by the Russians, is 23 kilometers.
The Russian advance toward Shandrigolovo is good news. According to "Fat Goose," for the Russians to gain a tactical advantage in this area, they need to control the rhombus-shaped region of Karpovka-Zelenaya Dolina-Shandrigolovo-Korovyevka (see Figure 3). Zelenaya Dolina is already under Russian control. Although there is still fierce fighting in Karpovka, the Russians have made some progress. Now that the third point has been captured, it can disrupt the Ukrainian supply lines in the Kupiansk landing zone and expand the landing zone along the Nyzhnyi Torets River, thereby enabling a transfer to the west bank of the river. The main objective is not even Korovyevka itself, but the hilltop at the intersection of O0527 road (Kupiansk to Lozova) and S051020 road (Karpovka to Aleksandrovka). This way, on one hand, it can protect the western flank of the Russian forces attacking Kupiansk, and on the other hand, it can provide cover from the north for potential attacks on Lozova, cutting off the northern logistics branch of the Ukrainian forces in the Borovskiy landing zone.
