South Korean Media: Chinese Companies Dominate the Top Five in the Home Cleaning Robot Market!
On April 12, South Korean media outlet The Global Economy published an article stating that last year, China's home appliance company Roborock ranked first in global shipment volume for home cleaning robots.
According to IDC's Global Smart Cleaning Robot Tracker Report 2025, Roborock ranked first globally in the smart cleaning robot market last year, with annual shipments reaching 5.8 million units, capturing a 17.7% market share in the home cleaning robot sector—including both robotic vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers.
Since the third quarter of 2023, Roborock has maintained its global leadership in the robotic vacuum cleaner segment. Based on shipments from the second half of last year, its market share reached 27%.
It also holds the top position in major markets such as South Korea, the United States, and Germany, sustaining its competitive edge.
The top five companies in the home cleaning robot market, including Roborock, are all Chinese firms.
EcoVacs and Dreame each captured 14.3% and 10.5% market shares respectively, followed by Xiaomi (6.7%) and Narwal (5.3%).
Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics were grouped under "Others" (45.4%), failing to enter the top five.
Owing to the strong performance of Chinese enterprises, other companies’ market shares declined by 4.3% year-on-year.
According to IDC statistics, global shipments of home cleaning robots totaled approximately 32.72 million units last year, representing a 20.1% increase compared to the previous year.
Among them, shipments of robotic vacuum cleaner products grew by 17.1%, leading overall market growth.
