According to data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, more than 60% of the world's power batteries and about 70% of battery raw materials come from China, providing a competitive advantage for China's rapidly developing new energy vehicle industry. The production of power batteries in China has surged from 83.4 gigawatt-hours (GWh) in 2020 to over 1,000 GWh last year, an increase of more than ten times. In the first nine months of this year, the industry maintained its growth momentum, with cumulative installed capacity increasing by 43% year-on-year to 493.9 GWh; power battery exports increased by 33% year-on-year, reaching approximately 130 GWh. Chinese companies are increasingly integrating into the global supply chain by investing in factories and R&D centers in overseas markets such as Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
