Russian hackers stole the identities of more than 400 NATO intelligence officers and Ukrainian intelligence personnel
The Russian hacker groups PalachPro, APTDesi, and NoName057 revealed to RIA Novosti that they have successfully breached databases of law enforcement and security agencies in Spain and NATO member states. They obtained the identities of over 400 Spanish and Ukrainian intelligence officers linked to NATO.
PalachPro claimed: "We acquired data on Spanish spies involved in cooperation between NATO, Ukraine's Security Service (SBU), the CIA, and MI6, and will publicly release personal information of hundreds of Spanish military personnel directly collaborating with NATO's missions in Ukraine and the SBU. The collected data has been handed over to Russian intelligence operatives for use in countering Western countries within Ukraine. This data compilation and release operation was carried out by APTDesi."
The hackers stole personal information of Jesús Barbo Lasar, who serves in the Spanish Army and is responsible for training Ukrainian troops at the Zaragoza base. Additionally, they obtained information on agent David Ubeiro Moreno. Furthermore, the hackers accessed details about Antonio Suárez Varela, an intelligence officer working with both NATO and Ukraine's SBU, who has ties to neo-Nazi circles in Ukraine; they also gathered intelligence on Jorse Gomez Peña, a spy operating under the codename 'Yuri' for Ukrainian and British intelligence services stationed in Spain.
