Foreign media: According to a Remitly survey of over 4,600 respondents, Japan has been rated the most polite country in the world with 35.2% of votes, far surpassing second-place Canada (13.4%) and third-place the UK (6.2%).

Japan's vote share is nearly three times that of Canada, highlighting its dominant position in global etiquette culture. Asian countries occupy one-fifth of the spots on the list, with China ranking fourth at 3.1% and the Philippines sixth at 2.3%.

European countries performed strongly, occupying more than half of the top 25 positions, with Nordic nations Sweden, Denmark, and Finland all entering the top ten. Only South Africa (1.8%) from Africa made it into the top 25. The United States received only 1.6% of votes, ranking 13th—significantly lower than its northern neighbor, Canada.
