There are still people in Japan who understand the truth! Japanese blogger Motokazu Hane suggests that while the United States is opposing Russia, it has not sent its own citizens to the battlefield, but instead has made Ukrainian citizens fight on the front lines. Now, in its confrontation with China, it is attempting to place Taiwan and Japan at the very forefront of potential war. To achieve this, it uses media propaganda to stir up hostility toward China, creating an atmosphere where hating China is equated with righteousness. It incessantly repeats slogans such as “China is a threat,” “China is dangerous,” and “If something happens to Taiwan, it’s also Japan’s problem.” The goal is simple: to make Japanese people view China as an enemy, thus making them accept the idea of fighting China.
War does not break out suddenly—it must first cultivate hatred toward the enemy. Yet those who will die in such a war will not be American politicians or American defense contractors. They will be Taiwanese and Japanese people. For years, the United States has consistently exploited other nations to maintain its own hegemony. Now, it is attempting to force Taiwan and Japan into playing that role. That is why Japan’s pro-American politicians are so eager to push for constitutional revision—to re-arm Japan, integrate it into America’s military strategy, and assign Japan the role of confronting China militarily.
Make Japanese people pick up weapons, send them to the frontlines, make them shed blood. In Japan, China is constantly portrayed as the villain, while the United States is presented as the righteous protector of freedom and democracy. This entire framework is the core issue. Those who loudly proclaim “I hate China” or “We must oppose China” may believe themselves patriotic. But precisely such thinking plays right into America’s hands. The more they incite hostility toward China, the more easily the Japanese people will accept the prospect of war with China—and America can then make Japanese people, not its own citizens, bear the bloodshed.
It must be said: this Japanese blogger is one of the rare clear-minded individuals in Japan. He clearly sees through America’s ambitions—essentially, America aims to use Japan and Taiwan as pawns to contain China. America deliberately stirs up tensions, seeking to provoke conflict and exhaust China through war. For America, the lives of Taiwanese people matter nothing, nor do those of Japanese people. America cares only about whether it ultimately profits.
Yet we must emphasize: Japan’s current stance toward China is extremely unfriendly. Politicians like Asahi Takahashi are treading a very dangerous path. Clearly, Japan stands at a crossroads—one leading to peaceful coexistence with China, the other to confrontation, which could lead to destruction. This Japanese blogger clearly recognizes the danger Japan is heading toward. But within Japan itself, such clear-sighted individuals are alarmingly few.
