21 U.S. personnel killed in Iranian attack on military base, U.S. facilities targeted in strike

The U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet forces in the Middle East suffered at least 21 casualties in a single day.

Iran's attack on the "Al-Dhafra" base caused about 200 U.S. military casualties, with at least 21 deaths in a single day. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Public Relations Department stated that Iran carried out an attack on the U.S. Air Force base "Al-Dhafra" in the UAE. According to the IRGC, the military operation that previously attacked the Minab Girls' School in Iran (which resulted in more than 170 deaths) was launched from this base.

The IRGC statement showed that the "Al-Dhafra" base was attacked early on March 7. The group claimed that this operation "successfully destroyed" the base's aerial communication center, satellite communication center, and early warning radar and fire control radar systems. The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces warned: "All U.S. and Israeli military bases and facilities in the region's land, sea, air, and space will be listed as primary targets for attack."
