Recently, the way U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi handled the Epstein sexual abuse case has sparked dissatisfaction among supporters of U.S. President Trump. On the local date of the 12th, Trump spoke out for Bondi on his social media platform, praising her work and advising supporters not to focus too much on the case. Meanwhile, U.S. billionaire Elon Musk called out Trump online: "Just release the documents."
Trump: "No one cares about Epstein"
Trump stated in his post that "no one cares about Epstein" and said it was unacceptable to waste more time or energy on his case. He said, "My brothers and some sisters, what's going on with you? Everyone is targeting Attorney General Bondi, but she did an excellent job!" He also said, "We are a team, MAGA (Make America Great Again), I don't like what's happening right now."
According to the U.S. website "Politico," some of Trump's influential allies have criticized Bondi for mishandling the investigation into Epstein and called for her removal as attorney general. Trump's recent post was also interpreted by some media as an attempt to unite his supporters.
Musk again calls out Trump: "After all that, just release them."

Musk said on the local date of the 13th on the social media platform X: "He mentioned 'Epstein' six times and told everyone not to talk about Epstein anymore. Just release the documents as promised."
Musk has repeatedly spoken publicly about the Epstein case.
This month, three days after announcing the establishment of the "American Party," Musk criticized Trump over the Epstein case and confirmed that the "American Party" would prioritize exposing documents related to the Epstein case. He posted, "If Trump doesn't release the documents related to Epstein, how can people trust him?"
Previously, the day before the FBI and Department of Justice released their conclusions, Musk also posted a clown image on X in response to the U.S. Department of Justice's statement on the Epstein case.

The image shows the changing positions of the U.S. government on this issue: We will release the list of Epstein cases → We need more time → The list of Epstein cases is on my desk → Epstein had no "client list".
Monitor mysteriously disappeared for one minute
American Attorney General's "explanation" fails to satisfy the public

The FBI and Department of Justice published an 11-hour video of Epstein's cell on July 7, stating that Epstein committed suicide in his cell without evidence indicating he was murdered. However, the video was missing one minute. A joint memo from the FBI and Department of Justice also stated that there was no evidence that Epstein kept a "client list" related to the sexual abuse scandal or that he extorted famous people.
On the 8th, when faced with media questions about the missing one minute of the video, U.S. Attorney General Bondi said that it was because the prison's surveillance system reset every night, causing the video to be missing one minute.
Why is the Epstein case so widely discussed?

In July 2019, Epstein was arrested for conspiring to traffic and sexually abuse minor females. On August 10 of the same year, Epstein died under mysterious circumstances while awaiting trial in a New York prison, with the medical examiner stating that he "committed suicide by hanging himself" using his bedsheet. According to reports, there were many doubts about his death that day — the guards were asleep, the surveillance failed, and his cellmate left. Therefore, the public has always had various speculations about his death.
In January 2024, under the order of U.S. District Judge Preska, more than 200 court documents, thousands of pages, related to the Epstein case were gradually released. With the declassification of these court documents, a list involving hundreds of people known as the "Epstein list" was made public, including numerous elite billionaires and even U.S. political figures, such as former U.S. President Clinton and British Prince Andrew.
Transparency of the Trump administration in the case did not meet public expectations

During last year's presidential campaign, Trump repeatedly claimed that if he were elected, the "Lolita Island" client list of Epstein would be made public.
However, when the relevant files were released in February this year, they contained no explosive new information, falling far short of public expectations for transparency in the case. The public accused the FBI and Department of Justice of hiding the truth. On July 8, Bondi said that it was a misunderstanding by the journalists of what she said in February, and she was not saying that she was reviewing the client list, but rather reviewing the entire case file.
