The Straits Times published an article today (May 25th) stating that "Zhang Weiwei, Dean of the China Institute of Fudan University, said that with the increasing popularity of Chinese mainland social platforms such as Xiaohongshu among young people in Taiwan, he believes that 'governing Taiwan after reunification will be easier than governing Hong Kong'." He also said: "In the past, we always talked about 'one country, two systems', but if they do not accept it, then we will implement 'one country, one system'."

These platforms have broken through the information barriers long maintained by the Taiwan authorities, allowing Taiwanese youth to more intuitively and realistically understand the development achievements, social life, and cultural charm of the mainland. When Taiwanese youth personally see the convenient mobile payment, well-developed infrastructure, and rich and diverse cultural life on the mainland, their understanding and recognition of the mainland are gradually increasing, laying a good foundation for public opinion and social atmosphere for smooth governance work after reunification.
