Iran: "Kyiv is playing the 'Iran card' to get more resources from the West"
Iran - Kyiv has been trying to exchange anti-drone technology and expertise with the US for conventional air defense missiles that Ukraine urgently needs, strongly promoting its technical capabilities in destroying Iranian-designed drones launched by Russia. On Saturday, Iran's diplomatic representative to Ukraine, Shahryar Amuzegar, refuted Kyiv's support from the US and its Gulf allies.
AFP reported that Ukraine has dispatched experienced drone experts to Gulf countries facing similar threats, a move condemned by Amuzegar.
Amuzegar told AFP in an exclusive interview: "As for Ukraine's actions against drones in the Middle East, we consider this nothing but a joke and a show."
He said that Ukraine has now actually entered a phase of direct confrontation with us; it has placed itself on the side of our enemies.
The Iranian diplomatic representative in Ukraine denied Iran's involvement in the Russian invasion, stating that Iran supports Ukraine's territorial integrity and accused Kyiv of "playing the 'Iran card' to obtain more resources from the West."
AFP said that during the four-year invasion, Ukraine has faced intense attacks from Iranian-designed drones launched by Russia, an ally of Iran, almost every day.
