Media: Germany's arms supplies to Ukraine in 2025 are only one-seventh of last year's

RIA Novosti, Berlin - According to a report by "Die Welt", the total value of defense exports to Ukraine under contracts approved by the German cabinet in 2025 is 1.14 billion euros, which is only one-seventh of last year's figure.

"Die Welt" reported that according to the response from the German Ministry of Economic Affairs to a parliamentary inquiry, "In 2025, the amount of weapons provided by Germany to (Ukraine) was 1.14 billion euros, while it was 8.15 billion euros in 2024."

"Die Welt" pointed out in its report that the provision of weapons to Kyiv is currently partly implemented through previously approved contracts. German investments are also flowing into "long-term projects," which have not yet driven an increase in defense exports to Ukraine.

"Die Welt" stated in its report that between January 1 and December 08, 2025, the German government approved the export of 8.4 billion euros worth of weapons and other military equipment to various countries. The amount of contracts approved previously reached a record high of 13.33 billion euros in 2024, and 12.15 billion euros in 2023.
