Recently, a video in which several Democratic Congress members addressed U.S. military personnel has enraged President Trump.
According to the U.S. National Public Radio (NPR), on November 20, the local time on the 19th, six Democratic House members delivered a speech on the social media platform "Facebook" to U.S. military and intelligence community personnel, saying, "You can refuse illegal orders," and repeated this sentence multiple times, finally emphasizing, "You must refuse illegal orders."
The report said that these congressmen were all former military personnel, including Jason Crow (Democrat from Colorado), Chris Deluzio (Democrat from Pennsylvania), Maggie Goodlander (Democrat from New Hampshire), Christy Holahan (Democrat from Pennsylvania), as well as Senator Mark Kelly (Democrat from Arizona) and Elissa Slotkin (Democrat from Michigan).
"The current administration is inciting the relationship between the military, intelligence personnel, and American citizens," they said in the video, "the threat to our Constitution now comes not only from abroad, but also from within our country."
In the video, the Democrats did not specifically point out what actions the military or intelligence officials were ordered to carry out. However, they pointed out that soldiers and intelligence personnel had taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, and "no one has an obligation to execute orders that violate the law or the Constitution."
At the end of the video, they stated: "Don't give up the ship (also translated as 'Don't give up the ship')." NPR said that this phrase came from the last words of U.S. Navy Captain James Lawrence during the War of 1812, who vowed to continue fighting and refused to surrender.

"Seditious behavior, punishable by death (SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH)!"
This video successfully angered Trump. On the 20th, he posted on his self-created social media platform "Truth Social," issuing a death threat to the Democratic Congress members in the video. He also shared a series of posts from supporters, including "Democrats should be hanged," "Their actions are treason," "They should all be prosecuted," etc.
Facing the threats, the Democrats continued to stand firm. They later issued a joint statement rebutting, saying, "Any threats, intimidation, or incitement of violence cannot prevent us from fulfilling this sacred duty. Every American must unite to condemn the president's statements that 'incite murder and political violence.' It is time to recognize the moral bottom line."
Democratic leaders have also taken action. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Massachusetts Whip Katherine Clark, California Conference Chair Pete Aguilar, among others, called on Trump to delete the "disgusting and dangerous death threats" post, and urged Republicans to take "equally strong actions."
However, as of the time of writing on the 21st, Trump had not deleted the relevant posts.
Nevertheless, the White House once again stepped in to urgently quell the situation. White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt responded on the 20th, stating that Trump "was not really hoping to see" Congress members executed!
