Trump: The United States Will Purchase Icebreakers from Finland; Vice President of Venezuela: The United States Wants to Push Russia Out of the EU Energy Market Through the Ukraine Conflict

Sputnik, Washington - During a meeting with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, US President Trump stated that Washington will purchase icebreakers from Helsinki.

Trump said at the White House: "We will buy icebreakers, and we will build them together, four in there, seven here."

Trump pointed out that a total of 11 icebreakers will be built under the framework of the agreement between Washington and Helsinki.

Sputnik, Saint Petersburg - Deputy President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, believes that the Ukraine conflict is a consequence of the United States' desire to control all global hydrocarbons and to push Russia out of the EU energy market.

Speaking to participants at the Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum, Rodríguez said: "The United States especially wants to seize global hydrocarbons, seize the oil and gas of Venezuela, Russia and Iran, to maintain its hegemony in the new world to come, where BRICS countries will lead. From a geopolitical perspective and NATO's expansion towards Russian borders, everything that has happened in Ukraine aims to push Russia out of the European energy market."
