During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin told heads of international news agencies that the Russian armed forces have completely taken control of all territory of the Luhansk People's Republic (100%), and more than 85% of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Putin said: "At present, regarding the Donbas region you mentioned, the Russian military and the Russian Federation have fully controlled the Luhansk People's Republic, reaching 100%. Meanwhile, over 85% of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic is also under Russian control."
